WHAT MAKES A GREAT PORTRAIT?

HOW: Each week summit ten high quality professional portraits and create a unique background or setting out of found materials.

WHAT: Take two sets of five photographs in a variety of locations. Create a unique backdrop.

WEEKLY Challenge

Each week I want you to create a unique backdrop. It can be anything you can think of random sheets, poster board with stuff pasted on, prisms, etc. This is your chance to be creative!

Artist Study:

Annie Leibovitz

Annie Leibovitz is perhaps the most famous modern photographer and portrait artist. She does a lot of things amazingly well. For this artist study I want you to examine Leibovitz work and create a candid portrait and a group portrait in her style.

BREAD & BUTTER:

Senior/ Family Portraits

Each week you will need to turn in five portraits of two people (total of ten). You cannot repeat people. Photos need to have perfect lighting, interesting composition, and be professional in quality. Photos also need to edited in your style!
